Hello my fellow Fansons! My name is Jen, and I am one of the two freaks obsessed with Hanson who are writing Weak and Broken.
You’re probably thinking, I have to be obsessed with more than just Hanson. And well, you would be right. Although Hanson
is at the top of my list, I also love The Moffatts (which I guess makes me a Moffan), and am a huge Lord of the Rings fan.
Lord of the Rings is probably up there with Hanson… which has resulted in a couple of cross-overs. I get very weird
ideas in this little head of mine, but of course, most of them don’t ever make it onto paper. Anyway, I have been a
loyal and devoted Hanson fan since 2000 when I heard This Time Around. Of course, it was just after I became a fan, Island
Def Jam started screwing them over, so I had to wait three years for Underneath to be released. I am very opinionated about
the whole Island Def Jam thing, so I don’t think I really want to continue. Maybe on a little rambling page I’ll
express my thoughts on the whole situation, but not here. Anyway, I went to New York in April of 2004 on a school trip, and
missed the mini-concert and autograph signing at Virgin Records by two days. I was quite frustrated about that. So was my
friend, Danielle, with whom I found out. My first Hanson concert experience came on Thursday, August 19th, 2004
when they came to my hometown of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I had a blast that night, and will forever remember it. Now you’re
thinking with me being a fan of Hanson, I have to have a favourite right? Well, I do, and it’s Ike. And I also have
a whole whack of favourite songs; far too many to list all of them, but right now my favourite would probably have to be Breaktown.
I have been writing since I was about six years old, or for about eleven years. I always
find time to write; even in school. If I get an idea for something, I have to write it down, so I always have paper with me
no matter where I go, or I try really hard to keep it locked inside my brain until I can write it down. I guess writing is
one of the ways I escape the busy outside world, and enter my own peaceful realm located at the centre of my big imagination.
It is a wonderful place to visit, and I find myself going there every day.
